Jeremy is an alum of Northwestern University's Performance Studies program and Resident Artist at The Cell. LINDSAY MECK (Producer) An alum of Northwestern University's Performance Studies program, Lindsay is a business affairs and creative development associate at The Araca Group and an independent producer (Cephalopod: A Play Below Sea Level at NY Fringe, Pinocchio: A Folk Musical at Theatre Row). She is chair of NU Works, a developmental reading series for aspiring playwrights. SARAH ANN MASSE (Mrs. Darling/Associate Producer) is a founding member and the Producing Director of The Vagabond Theatre Ensemble. She is thrilled to be participating in peter~wendy, which marks her 7th time working on a Jeremy Bloom extravaganza! As an actress, NYC: The Wicked Witch of The West in The Wizard of Oz, Lord, Im Coming Home (VTE, The Cabin Fever Festival), Madame Sosostris in February, a Pageant (the tank), The Wife in The Wendy Complex (VTE, The Access Gallery April 08 and @ 9th Annual MITF July 08), and Schaunard in Speaking Bohème all directed by Jeremy Bloom. Other NYC credits include Kate in Animalia (reading, VTE Cabin Fever Festival), Hitler and Warhols mothers in Wintertime for Warhol (reading, Exhibit Z productions), Isabella in Measure for Measure (TSI/Playtime Classic Series) and the workshop of DeCADEnce (Rising Sun Performance Company). These are all happy thoughts. JESSE GARRISON (Mr. Darling) is an actor and multi-media artist. He moved to New York after graduating from Oberlin College, where he performed in numerous productions including The Pillowman (Tupolski), Major Barbara (Cusins), Line (Dolan) and Rhinoceros (Dudard). New York credits include Powerhouse (Carl, Ensemble, Puppeteer), There Will Come Soft Rains (Man, Machine), King Lear (Burgundy, various roles), One Fat Day In Babylon (Parritt), FourPlay (Maurice), Ivanov (Lvov), Wanderlust (B), Tales of the Wind and the Sun (Advisor, Puppeteer), Dorm Stories (David), Tetherfop (Stephen), Lost Highway (Video Assistant, various roles). As a filmmaker and video artist, he has shot and edited music videos, performance art, video designed several FringeNYC shows and directed a post-apocalyptic feature. He is honored to be a part of peter~wendy and would like to thank his incredible collaborators, parents and friends. HÉLOÏSE DARCQ (Wendy) Originally from France, Héloïse Darcq performed with Vice et Versa Company (Credits include Aristophane's Lysistrata and Molière's Tartuffe) From 2006-2007, she experimented with her voice as part as La fanfare Électronique, an electronic streetband. After a Bachelor in performance studies in France, she moved to New York in 2007. She discovered the Suzuki Technique and followed workshops with Kameron Steele/the South Wing Company. She is now working as Programming Coordinator at the French Institute Alliance Française. CHRIS HEJL (Peter) recently retired from Temple Israel of the City of New York. Acting credits include The Bombs Away and Scarecrow Butcherers at the Magnet, and Berty Haddock presents: Thats Farce Enough! at the Edinburgh Fringe. He holds a BS in Theater from Northwestern and a Certificate in Creative Writing for the Media. Love to AA. CAMILLE HARRIS (Lilac Flower) Camille is so pleased to be part of this beautiful production. Her musical Muffin Man was in the New York International Fringe Festival 2009 and was one of 20 shows chosen for the FringeNYC Encore Series. Her one-woman show Camille! Young! Silly! has played the Duplex Cabaret and was part of Ars Nova Theatres ANT FEST 2008. Favorite roles: Shelly (Bat Boy: the Musical), Angel City 4 (City of Angels), Cinderella (Cinderella) and Hodel (Fiddler). She is the recipient of an Emerson EVVY award for her song Muffin Man. JESSICA MCKENNA (Lilac Flower) just graduated from Northwestern University with her degree in Theatre. She is so excited to be making her New York début performing in her favorite story of all time. Favorite performances include: Indians (Ned Buntline), Company (April), The Illusion (Melibea/Isabelle/Hippolyta) and the many others made up with the improv groups Mee-Ow and The Titanic Players. MIKE PLACITO (Lost Boy) Mike made his New York début earlier this year as King Stefan in Jeremy Bloom's summer production of Sleeping Beauty. Prior to that, he was writing and directing short films as an Annenberg Graduate Fellow at the USC School of Cinema-Television in Los Angeles. He was a film major at Northwestern and a member of Creative Writing for the Media. LAÏLA ALJ (Mermaid) Laïla just graduated from Northwestern with a BA in Theatre and a certificate in Creative Writing for the Media, and moved to New York three months ago. Other than learning to grow up and becoming a person, she is busy discovering the city's many frozen yogurt joints. She interns at The Striking Viking Story Pirates, also a place where you don't grow up. She is excited to be playing a mermaid and is even more excited to be a part of this production. CATHERINE BROOKMAN (Tender Fairy) is so happy to be in this pretty play! She recently graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Voice Performance and Integrated Arts. Originally from Baltimore, she is grateful to have had the opportunity to work on various musicals, new works, plays, devised theatre, oratorio, concerts, and an opera. She recently began songwriting and is terrified/excited about that. STARR J. BUSBY (Tender Fairy) Starr is beyond delighted to be in this production of peter~wendy! She recently moved to New York from Chicago and is enjoying becoming a legitimate New Yorker. Before moving to New York, Starr had the honor of performing in Court Theatre's production of Caroline, Or Change as "Radio 3", u/s "Washing Machine/Moon". Since moving to New York, she has performed in Remember the Time: A Tribute to Michael Jackson, a reading of The Harlem Ladies' Knittin' and Bitchin' Society, and appeared in an episode of As the World Turns. She thanks you for coming and hopes you enjoy this fairy fun time! MAITE ALVAREZ (Whisper Sister) is a recent graduate of Northwestern University and a newbie to New York. She is delighted to be a part of this awesome ensemble and grateful to Jeremy for including her in his productions. SARAH GRACE WELBOURN (Whisper Sister) lives in New York with her friends, went to Northwestern, grew up in Nashville/Chicago, is an actress, works in an office, does improv, cooks from a cookbook, runs distances, and watches Mad Men every Sunday night. JOYCE MILLER (Hook) is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts where she studied at the Atlantic Theater Company and Stonestreet film & TV studio. On Stage: Leaves of Grass, Murder Party, Real Life Blog. On screen: Maybe you'll spot her in the background in Puccini for Beginners?... or on youtube (Joyfulmilton), garnering insulting or confused comments. In February 2010, Joyce will begin work on, not so much a "one-woman-show," as a Hosted Presentation. Joyce owes a great deal of thanks to those who love and support her. CLAIRE NEUMANN (Mr. Smee) Claire Neumann is pumped for peter~wendy... and excited to explore Smee. She has pondered Peter's strugglenot wanting to grow upbut what about Smee? What is his inner journey? Does he feel inferior and belittled by the strong and fearful Hook? What would happen if you sprinkled some fairy dust upon Smee's his deformed upper back... would his teeth become de-crookefied? Who knows. CLAIRE WILMOTH (Noodler) is a graduate of Northwestern University where she co-chaired the 74th Waa-Mu Show: Waiting in the Wings. Favorite roles of the past include Cora Hoover Hooper in Anyone Can Whistle at Pegasus Players, Dr. Charlotte in Falsettos, Mrs. Phagan in Parade, and Madame Pace in Six Characters in Search of an Author. She has worked and recorded with two-time Emmy Award winning composer Hummie Mann, Grammy Award winner Eric Tingstad, and longtime songwriter Sue Ennis, who has co-written hit tunes for bands such as Heart and The Lovemongers. In New York, Claire has also performed with the Empty Space Ensemble, NU Works, The Striking Viking Story Pirates, and The Living Newspaper. JACK SACHS (Staff) has made posters for events in Chicago and New York. As an actor he worked with Jeremy Bloom in his adaptations of Sleeping Beauty and La bohème. He played Chipper in Burnham's Suicide Sundays and worked with Moises Kaufman on workshops of The Dover Project and Cyrano de Bergerac. He trained with LAB Theater and is a graduate of Northwestern University. His upcoming short film The Fun House will be seen in various festivals in 2010. www.thewillset.net. JEREMY WIMMER (Original theme song) Jeremy is 1/3 of Bird Love, an indie rock band from Brooklyn, NY.
